Luxul, a provider of IP networking solutions for custom installation professionals, has added two new PoE switches that are purpose built for professional installers of IP video solutions.

The XMS-1010P and the XFS-1816P offer 8 and 16 PoE+ ports respectively, while also providing 2 additional gigabit uplink ports that can be used for connecting to a main switch, router, or even directly to the NVR. Together with the XFS-1084P, which has four PoE ports plus four ethernet ports, the company now offers PoE switch options that are optimized for four-, eight-, and 16-channel NVR systems.

"These new PoE switches are a direct response to the needs expressed by our integrators," said Luxul president and CEO, Jeffrey Curtis. "Most NVR systems include four, eight, or 16 IP cameras. Now, Luxul integrators have an optimal switch for doing any size of job, without sacrificing PoE ports to connect to the network."

The XFS-1084P and XFS-1816P are shipping now, while the XMS-1010P will start hitting distributor shelves around the end of April. These PoE switches and other Luxul products can be seen this week at ISC West in the Powerhouse Alliance booth (#2065).
