Q&A with Jim Garrett, Senior Director, Product Strategy and Planning, HARMAN Luxury Audio
Q: Why CEDIA?
Jim Garrett: CEDIA Expo is the chance to see, hear, and learn about leading custom integration solutions all in one place. It’s a fantastic way for us to showcase our products to current and future dealers. There is no substitute for being able to let attendees experience the products first-hand, and to be able to have high-quality business discussions with our partners.
Q: What is the most exciting trend you expect to see at the show?
JG: Even though I’m an audio guy, I’m probably most excited to see the latest large format video solutions that will be on display including those from our parent company Samsung. It’s the chocolate that goes with the peanut butter of our immersive audio systems!
Q: What will you focus on at the show?
JG: We will continue to highlight the strength and breadth of our combined portfolio of leading audio brands including JBL, JBL Synthesis, Revel, Lexicon, Mark Levinson, Arcam, and Harman/Kardon. This year we’ve added a third home cinema system to our booth demonstrating our ability to scale immersive audio solutions to any size or price point, and we’ll be showing some amazing new VPA wireless audio solutions, new immersive soundbars, and more.
