#RoadtoISE: Crestron

Crestron discusses ISE 2019 trends and what visitors can expect to see in their stand.

In our series of #RoadtoISE blogs, we’re talking with exhibitors about the hottest technologies and trends they’re looking to see at ISE 2019.

Q&A with Michael Short, Crestron.

Q: Why ISE?

MICHAEL SHORT: Crestron has exhibited at ISE for years, and every year we see it grow and become more and more of an opportunity for us to connect with our dealers and integrators from all over the world. As the world’s largest exhibition for AV and systems integration professionals ISE also serves as the largest show for Crestron Residential. As one of the largest exhibitors at the show, we bring new and invigorating technologies to the show floor and this year will be no different.

Q: What is the most exciting trend you expect to see at the show?

MS: With smart home technology advancing each year, we are seeing more companies introduce various solutions for the home—we expect this year to be no different, featuring more products from more manufacturers. However, Crestron will be focusing on what it does best: designing, building, and supporting every aspect of the complete smart home. This year, we will go one step further and announce a brand new user interface for the Crestron Home Operating System.

Q: How will your solutions inspire integrators?

MS: Crestron Home powered by OS 3 has the ability to inspire our dealers like never before. This is all about continuing the evolution of the Crestron Operating System; as we have been saying over the last few months, OS 2 delivered the foundation, OS 3 perfects the experience.

The third version of the Crestron Home Operating System delivers a simpler, smarter, more sophisticated user experience. It allows the dealer to make fast deployments for any size home project.

OS 3 offers a stunning new high-performance user interface for mobile devices and Crestron TSW touch screens. In tandem with Crestron hardware, OS 3 unlocks the full potential of the Crestron Home Operating System, giving dealers the ability to deliver a user interface like they’ve never seen before: spectacular page designs, exceptional dynamic room controls and icons, and new features including support for multiple homes, favorites, custom access, room image customizations, and much more.

At ISE 2019 we will be launching and giving dealers hands-on experience with the full OS 3 UI and how the Crestron Home Operating System (formerly Crestron Pyng OS 2) enables them to set up and deploy complete smart homes on any scale in a fraction of the time of traditional methods, with no programming needed, and now with the best user interface. It’s inspiring and a true game changer for the Crestron Home Solution.
