Q&A with Rob Meiner, Kiosk Business Unit Manager, Peerless-AV.
Q: Why ISE?
ROB MEINER: ISE is the world’s largest exhibition for AV and systems integration professionals. What’s great about ISE is that it’s a joint venture between AVIXA and CEDIA. It is in a prime location within Europe allowing people from numerous markets to come together to collaborate and learn from each other, expand their network, and see firsthand what manufacturers are introducing as new products for 2019. In 2018, there were over 1,200 exhibitors and over 80,000 audiovisual professionals who visited the show. Twenty-five percent of attendees are either a systems integrators or installers and another 25 percent is a dealer or distributor of AV products. The timing of the show is a great opportunity for Peerless-AV to start the year on the right foot and begin talking about residential opportunities with integrators and how our products can make installations both easier and more successful.
Q: What is the most exciting trend you expect to see at the show?
RM: I am excited to see the trends in home automation and smart home technology.
Q: How will your solutions inspire integrators?
RM: One of our key products for the residential market is our line of UltraView UHD Outdoor TVs. With this solution, users can migrate from a solely indoor smart home to an indoor and outdoor smart home. Our UltraView UHD Outdoor TV is an all-season solution for outdoor entertainment and living. This outdoor TV is all weather rated, maintenance-free, and has an operating temperature range of -22°F to 122°F.
With 4K resolution and an IPS panel, the UltraView meets the full UHD specifications, providing exceptional color and video quality from any viewing angle. The TV is also equipped with a High TNI panel, which allows for direct sunlight readability without the risk of isotropic blackout. Having a solution like our UltraView UHD Outdoor TV allows users to connect their other devices to create a full outdoor living experience.
