Q: Why CEDIA?
RODRIGO CATALAN: CEDIA is a unique show, as it gathers the best home theater technology innovations in one location for AV aficionados to explore. It is an important event for Epson and allows us to provide first-hand experiences to attendees of the newest trends in home entertainment. We look forward to showcasing Epson’s latest immersive, visual experience solutions.
Q: What is the most exciting trend you expect to see at the show?
RC: Home entertainment is a combination of elements, which, for AV enthusiasts, starts with image performance. At CEDIA Expo this year, we are looking forward to seeing the culmination of design efforts focused on achieving the ultimate in image quality, especially in the HDR arena. Projectors rely on brightness to support the full range of HDR and to provide increased flexibility across a variety of room lighting conditions. Additionally, integration between devices is continuously evolving to improve home entertainment experiences, and we look forward to seeing more ubiquitous home theater solutions for everyday content viewing shown at CEDIA Expo.
Q: What will you focus on at CEDIA Expo 2019?
RC: We live in an era of HDR, which means added brightness, color, and saturation. Additionally, today’s homeowners like to enjoy vibrant HDR content both in dedicated spaces as well as in everyday living environments. Based on those trends, Epson will be demonstrating the evolution of home projection through different applications at the show. Featuring a groundbreaking combination of brightness, color, contrast and resolution, Epson will showcase its latest solutions that deliver the ultimate entertainment experience, while seamlessly integrating into today’s modern home design.
