RTI Adds Two-Way Driver for NuVo Wireless Audio Solutions

Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) has introduced a new two-way driver that allows users to control and receive feedback from popular NuVo Wireless Audio solutions on their two-way enabled RTI control system.

Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) has introduced a new two-way driver that allows users to control and receive feedback from popular NuVo Wireless Audio solutions on their two-way enabled RTI control system.

The driver makes it simple to integrate NuVo’s local audio and streaming capabilities into a home’s automation system, allowing installers to provide their clients with a single customized control interface for their entire home.

NuVo’s new Player Portfolio IP-based whole home audio solution delivers the most popular music streaming services — such as Pandora, Rhapsody, SiriusXM, and TuneIn Radio — and takes advantage of local audio files, including stored content on computers in iTunes or Windows Media Player, USB drives, and mobile devices. Made for simple professional installation, the Player Portfolio’s flexible design allows for either hard-wired or wireless configuration.

With RTI’s new driver, users can quickly find the music they want to listen to, select the location they want to play it in, and control the volume — all without having to switch remotes or apps. In addition, the driver provides a slick interface that allows users to receive feedback from their NuVo system and view it on their controller, including playlists, album art, “now playing” info, and more.

“NuVo offers the most extensive set of metadata of any audio streaming system, and the most powerful iTunes integration in the industry. We are very excited to make these capabilities more convenient for users via our new software driver,” said Pete Baker, vice president of sales and marketing for RTI. “Now all of a home’s audio needs can be easily integrated into one simple system: rackmounted multichannel amps and/or local zone amplifiers all feeding local music, streaming services, phones, tablets, and more. And with Integration Designer, it’s simple to update the system if new rooms or sources are added.”

The NuVo driver is compatible with all XP control processors. Using the latest version of RTI’s programming software — Integration Designer 9.0 — installers can provide their clients with a completely customized, intuitive control experience, in a drag-and-drop programming environment.

The NuVo driver is available now on the RTI dealer website, at www.nuvotechnologies.com/wireless-systems.
