Value Electronics hosted its annual TV Shootout Evaluation event on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at its showroom in Scarsdale, N.Y. The current flagship TVs were brought together for a side-by-side comparison of picture quality performance, with a winner crowned for “King of TV” for the 2026 model year.
Top-performing TVs from the premium manufacturers were selected to compete in the TV Shootout, including a total of six displays. Competing in the OLED category were Samsung’s QN65S95H, Sony’s K65XR80M2, and LG’s OLED65G6WUA. Representing the new Micro RGB display technology were Sony’s K75XR90M2 (Bravia 9 II), Samsung’s MRN75R95H, and LG’s 75MRGB95BUA. Four reference Sony BVM-HX3110 professional mastering monitors were included in the event so each display can be compared next to the reference monitor. All TVs were professionally calibrated to their best potential to be on an even playing field, and a panel of judges reviewed test patterns and content before voting on the picture quality being evaluated.
In the OLED competition, Samsung’s QN65S95H TV delivered excellent performance throughout the evaluation, earning the highest overall average score in both SDR and HDR categories and winning the majority of voting categories. Samsung’s S95H earned the title King of OLED TV for 2026. Sony’s Bravia 8 II finished as a close runner-up, with excellent overall scores and in both SDR and HDR evaluations.
Among the Micro RGB TVs, Sony’s Bravia 9 II TV won most categories and achieved the highest combined overall score, earning it the title of 2026 King of Micro RGB TV. It excelled in both SDR and HDR performance. Samsung’s MRN75R95H finished second in the category, followed by LG’s 75MRGB95BUA.
