At ISE, Gefen plans to introduce a selection of digital signage devices that automate content and create video walls.

“Integrators turn to Gefen for the infrastructure that ultimately makes their life easier by streamlining audio/video installations,” Gefen president and CEO Hagai Gefen said. “At ISE 2010, we aim to further solidify our reputation as one of the most reliable and innovative solutions providers that anticipates integrators’ needs and delivers solutions right when they need them.”

Digital Signage Player

Allows users to create playlists very easily from any computer. They can upload pre-recorded video, customize scrolling text and select music to be displayed publicly using the HDMI format. A built-in 2G flash drive holds all content, which can be uploaded through the Ethernet or USB connections. Scrolling text to accompany the video can be input and changed as often as necessary, so users can tailor their messages. A variety of fonts and sizes can be selected giving users additional flexibility.

Digital Signage Creator

Includes an intuitive layout program for the complete creation and customization of content to be displayed in digital signage installations. Users are limited only by their own creativity. The Digital Signage Creator accepts both HDMI and VGA with L/R audio inputs, with content output in both formats. Users can write scripts to control audio/video content, layer multiple videos and pull RSS feeds off the Internet, to name just a few.

DVI Video Wall Controller

This combination splitter/scaler provides one DVI input and four DVI outputs supporting high resolution video that can be scaled up to 1080p/60 full HD. The video is distributed in four quadrants, spread across four flat panel displays stacked in a 2×2 configuration. It offers independent border control to crop the image and eliminate display bezels for a precise alignment. Built-in noise reduction helps create a refined image.

DisplayPort KVM Switchers

The 2×1 DisplayPort KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) Switcher gives one display access to two computers; users access all data from the same keyboard/mouse connection, saving on equipment costs and increasing productivity. An IR remote or front-panel selector controls switching. The 4×2 DisplayPort KVM Switcher gives access to four computers using two mirrored displays, enabling an expanded desktop for greater access and control.

DisplayPort Booster Cables

These copper-based cables propel the DisplayPort signal up to 150 feet in distance to a remote display, supporting 3840×2400 video resolutions. Displays can be placed anywhere while computers are stored in a closet or remote location. Several different lengths are provided: 50; 75; 100; 125 and 150 feet. An optional power supply is included in case the computer cannot support the display at the extended distance, but is not always necessary.
