Lexington, KY — Audio Authority Corp. has promoted Trent Davis to its product manager, a new position for the manufacturer of video distribution systems, signal conversion, and switching solutions.
Bob Sollee, president of Audio Authority, stated, This position will provide better continuity for new product development and subsequent marketing by utilizing Trents innate ability to communicate our customers needs to our internal design and manufacturing resources. New product ideas can come from many sources, but Trents expertise in managing all of the long-term, strategic planning associated with new product development will focus our efforts and reduce our time to market, especially for new technology products and services.
Davis, who was originally hired as an account manager in 2006, said he will seek to canvass the opinions of custom installers and dealers in order to create relevant new products, and to improve existing offerings.
A good product manager listens to the marketplace — our core market understands what type of products they need,” he said. “My goal is to deliver products that are useful, reliable, and profitable for dealers to sell.”
Davis also seeks to improve communication between Audio Authority and its customers, saying I feel that communication is paramount in a good business relationship. Our dealers need to be aware of new developments at Audio Authority. Part of quality communication is training — Im seeking to develop new training programs for our more complex products in order to enable profitable and reliable installations for our dealers.
