AVAD Nashville to Hold Second Annual Food Drive AVAD’s Nashville branch will hold its second annual food drive benefitting the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.RS Staff ⋅ Nov 15, 2016 AVAD’s Nashville branch will hold its second annual food drive benefitting the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. With more than 1 million Tennesseans at risk of hunger every day, AVAD Nashville is partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee to raise awareness to fight hunger and help supply food for families in need during the holiday season. Known as one of the largest and most comprehensive food banks and distribution centers nationwide, Second Harvest’s fleet of 18 trucks covered more than 600,000 miles rescuing and delivering food to a network of more than 490 partner agencies and directly to hungry children, families, and seniors throughout the 46-county service area last year. During November 17-21, AVAD dealers have the opportunity to donate non-perishable food items in exchange for discounts from participating vendors. To receive the special discount, dealers must donate at least 15 food items at the AVAD Nashville branch or a minimum of $20 on the Virtual Food Drive page: http://bit.ly/2eoPUHt. “After much success, we are pleased to announce the second annual food drive with our Nashville branch to fight hunger,” said Seth Evenson, director of customer experience management for AVAD LLC. “Especially during the holiday season, we understand the importance of giving back and we want to thank our participating vendors for joining us. We invite our dealers to join us and help make our second annual food drive a great success.” Donations made to AVAD Nashville will be given to Second Harvest on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, just in time for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. For those interested in donating in-person at AVAD Nashville, visit the branch at 725 Airpark Center Dr., Nashville, TN 37217.
