AVAD’s Nashville branch will hold its second annual food drive benefitting the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.
With more than 1 million Tennesseans at risk of hunger every day, AVAD Nashville is partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee to raise awareness to fight hunger and help supply food for families in need during the holiday season. Known as one of the largest and most comprehensive food banks and distribution centers nationwide, Second Harvest’s fleet of 18 trucks covered more than 600,000 miles rescuing and delivering food to a network of more than 490 partner agencies and directly to hungry children, families, and seniors throughout the 46-county service area last year.
During November 17-21, AVAD dealers have the opportunity to donate non-perishable food items in exchange for discounts from participating vendors. To receive the special discount, dealers must donate at least 15 food items at the AVAD Nashville branch or a minimum of $20 on the Virtual Food Drive page: http://bit.ly/2eoPUHt.
