CEDIA is conducting its fifth benchmarking survey, open to CEDIA electronic systems contractor members in the U.S. and Canada.

The average project size was $32,000 and median annual number of projects was 30 for CEDIA electronic systems contractors in 2009, and CEDIA says that its benchmarking survey will help members find out how their company compares.

The survey results will provide data regarding: strategic and business planning, marketing and sales, staffing and compensation, financial management, project management, and emerging technologies.

In addition, CEDIA is offering an instructive IP and Networking workshop. Technicians will learn how to configure a router for both LAN and remote access. The workshop will be held April 1 at the CEDIA Indianapolis training facility. The course is designed for integrators with little to no experience in IP networks. To register, click here.

The benchmarking survey will open March 28 and closes May 2nd. To participate, register at www.cedia.org/benchmarking by March 21 or contact Erica Shonkwiler at eshonkwiler@cedia.org.
