CEDIA Opens New Education Facility in the U.K.

CEDIA has opened a new education facility at its U.K. headquarters in St. Neots, Cambridgeshire.

CEDIA has opened a new education facility at its U.K. headquarters in St. Neots, Cambridgeshire. It features an education room, a practical workshop, and a new breakout area.

Opened on May 8 this year, the association says the new space marks CEDIA’s on-going commitment to invest in high quality industry training.

Last year in the U.K., CEDIA hosted 72 courses, welcoming nearly 600 integrators to its training room. With its education increasing in popularity, CEDIA decided to expand its facility to be able to accommodate demand. Featuring a training room and a workshop with six workstations, the area provides more space for both theoretical and practical sessions.

“Education is an essential step for those looking to enter and progress their skills in the home technology industry,” said Matt Nimmons, managing director, CEDIA EMEA. “Our education program continues to grow in popularity, so we felt that it was time to invest in a dedicated training facility. Since the facility opened at the beginning of May, it has been fully booked, with attendees enjoying the new space for various training sessions, including the four-day Technical School. We are delighted that the space has received a great reception from all who attended these sessions.”

Between June and December, CEDIA will be hosting just under 100 days of training at its new facility, with courses ranging from project and business processes to audio, video, and RF systems for installers and design process and documentation to 3D audio and immersive sound for home cinema.
