Richmond, VA–Circuit City, the second largest consumer electronics retail chain in the U.S., will close 19 of its “superstores” by the end of February.
The closings reflect an effort to focus resources in better-performing markets and improve Circuit City’s overall performance.
The company also plans to open over 65 new superstores (with some relocations and remodels) in the next fiscal year, contingent on real estate availability.
