The newly launched NuVo Wireless Audio System now integrates with Control4 home automation, courtesy of a driver available through developer Extra Vegetables, at www.extravegetables.com.

The NuVo Wireless Player driver, v 7.0.0, will allow for control of any of the NuVo Wireless Audio System’s zone amplifiers (available in two wireless models, the P100 and P200 players, and a 3-zones-in-1 rack-mountable unit, the P3100 player) through Control4 equipment by simply defining the player as the Audio EndPoint for the room. Once this is defined, a customer’s Control4 device has the ability to browse, select, and control any of the streaming services and collected music library of the NuVo system. The driver is priced at $150 per installation.

“The NuVo brand carries an expectation of both quality and ease of use, and many dealers encounter the demand for pairing the reliability of their audio solutions with the overall home automation brought through Control4’s products,” said Jane Scotland, co-owner Extra Vegetables. “The new Wireless Audio System continues the manufacturer’s legacy of providing outstanding audio products, and it was important to us to provide this simple and accessible integration option right from the start.”

NuVo’s vice president of engineering, Rick Kukulies, added, “We’ve worked with Extra Vegetables in the past, with the Control4 driver for our Music Port Elite, and it was a pleasure to continue that relationship for the Wireless Audio System. Extra Vegetables is known for crafting drivers that bring out the best of all the systems involved, by streamlining the user experience of total control. It was critical to the NuVo team, and as much so to our dealers, to have that simple integration.”
