D&H Distributing Hires Chief Information Officer

Harrisburg, PA — D&H Distributing, the North American computer products and consumer electronics distributor, has appointed a new chief information officer (CIO), Richard Hellar, to maximize the company’s efficiency through technology and make it easier and faster for dealers and resellers to do business with D&H.

Rick Hellar has 23 years of business experience in the IT industry with more than 15 years managing small and large multi-site IT departments, plus additional experience in the CE industry, making him a good fit for D&H Distributing.

In the distributor’s long history, it has found that one way to encourage stability in the face of duress is to concentrate on effective systems that provide value, and to keep making business easier and more affordable for one’s customers. That means maximizing D&H’s operations through technology that will deliver better service and accommodate forthcoming growth.

“We welcome Rick Hellar, and expect he will make a fine contribution at D&H, helping to make us the most optimal operation we can be, to the benefit of our customers,” said Dan Schwab, co-president at D&H Distributing. “Times like these create opportunities to re-evaluate how to make your business better and lessen your customers’ pain. We’re willing to the make the investments that will make that happen.”

“As we go through the year, the objective will always be to make things more conducive to doing prosperous business with us,” said Jeff Davis, senior vice president of sales at D&H Distributing. “The customer is D&H’s top priority, so we never stop looking at ways to make ourselves an even more effective sourcing partner, one who can help those customers succeed. We have a few innovative customer projects in the pipeline that will require Rick’s leadership to complete for implementation this year.”
