Ormond Beach, FL — DPL Laboratories Inc., one of the industry’s top digital technology performance testing centers, has released Digital Performance Level ratings on several HDMI cable products from Honeywell International, including DPLs first 5 or best rating in its Class C testing category. DPLs Class C testing category covers high-speed, Deep Color HDMI products.
In order to better track and report on the performance of the ever expanding HDMI product universe, DPL has created three testing classifications under which submitted products will be tested and rated. The definition of these classifications is shown below:
Class A
Clock Speed: 74.25 MHz Resolution: 720p Refresh Rate: 60 Hz Color Depth: 8-Bit
Clock Speed : 74.25 MHz Resolution: 1080i Refresh Rate: 30 Hz Color Depth: 8-Bit
Class B
Clock Speed: 165 MHz Resolution: 1080p Refresh Rate: 60 Hz Color Depth: 8-Bit
Clock Speed: 165 MHz Resolution: 720p/1080i Refresh Rate: 120 Hz Color Depth: 8-Bit
Class C
Clock Speed: 297 MHz Resolution: 1080p Refresh Rate: 60 Hz Color Depth: 16-Bit Deep Color
Clock Speed: 297 MHz Resolution: 720p/1080i Refresh Rate: 120 Hz Color Depth: 16-Bit Deep Color
