Fujitsu Reduces Plasmavision by $5,000

Fujitsu is offering a major price reduction on its Plasmavision P63XHA40US 63-inch HDTV monitor.

Fairfield, NJ–Fujitsu General America is offering a major price reduction on its Plasmavision P63XHA40US 63-inch HDTV monitor. Effective immediately, the manufacturers suggested retail price has been reduced by $5,000, from $17,999 to $12,999.

Flat-panel plasma monitors are fast becoming the high-performance display of choice for many home theater enthusiasts, noted Tedd Rozylowicz, president, COO, Fujitsu General America. As their popularity increases, prices industrywide are naturally being adjusted downward, due to both increased competition and lower manufacturing costs. The P63XHA40US incorporates Fujitsus proprietary Advanced Video Movement-II (AVM-II) digital video processor, and a 10-bit video processing system that produces more than 1.07 billion colors.

The P63XHA40US features a HD 1366 x 768 pixel panel that provides maximum resolution images from digital video sources, with a wide 160-degree viewing angle, and an HDMI input. The input provides a direct digital connection to the latest high-end audio and video devices–such as a satellite system or an HDTV set-top box.
