Harman Luxury Audio Group has announced Audio Solutions, the Indianapolis retailer that has served Midwest audio enthusiasts since 2000, has been named the newest dealer to carry the JBL Summit Series, the newly completed five-model line of ultra-high-performance loudspeakers designed for the world’s most discerning listeners.
Audio Solutions joins a select group of dealers nationwide chosen to represent the full JBL Summit lineup — Summit Everest, Summit K2, Summit Makalu, Summit Pumori, and Summit Ama — each engineered with JBL’s most advanced acoustics and material technologies and named for a peak of the Himalayas.
Audio Solutions: A Family Business Built on Everest
Founded in 2000 as a father-and-son business, Audio Solutions has grown from a modest start into one of the Midwest’s largest high-end audio showrooms, with four dedicated listening rooms and a home cinema built for critical auditioning. JBL’s Everest lineage itself dates back to the original Project Everest of 1985, long before Audio Solutions opened its doors, but the retailer has carried the Everest name since the DD66000 generation, and Summit Everest now marks the third generation of Everest loudspeakers Audio Solutions has sold. Summit K2, Summit Makalu, Summit Pumori, and Summit Ama now join Everest at Audio Solutions for the first time, making the retailer one of a select few nationwide authorized to carry the complete five-model Summit Series.
“The JBL Summit series is the right fit for our showroom because of the generational improvements JBL has made in this line, from its beginning in 1985 to today,” says Graham Lundeen, owner of Audio Solutions. “These speakers are world-class, and they deliver the performance our customers demand.”
More About JBL Summit
For Audio Solutions, the expertise behind JBL Summit is nothing new, it’s the next chapter in a story the showroom has been telling since it first began carrying the Everest name. Three generations of Everest owners have walked through their doors, and Summit Everest gives that lineage its most accomplished successor yet. What is new is the rest of the family standing alongside it: for the first time, Audio Solutions can offer Summit K2, Makalu, Pumori, and Ama under the same roof, a fitting expansion for a showroom built around exactly this kind of legacy.
The JBL Summit Series includes:
- Summit Everest: The flagship of the Summit Series and heir to four generations of Project Everest, Summit Everest sets the reference the rest of the line is measured against. The 3.5-Way, dual 15-inch floor-standing reference loudspeaker features three 2-inch dual-motor compression drivers and dual 10-inch cast-frame Differential Drive mid-bass drivers, and a pair of 15-inch Differential Drive woofers.
- Summit K2: Summit K2 is a 3-Way 15-inch floor-stander built for listeners who know exactly what they’re chasing. Three 1.5-inch dual-motor compression drivers and a 10-inch cast-frame Differential Drive mid-bass driver and a 15-inch cast-frame Differential Drive woofer deliver a musical authority and tonal richness that can turn a familiar recording into a revelation.
- Summit Makalu: The fifth-highest peak on Earth lends its name to a 3-Way 12-inch floor-stander. Anchoring the sound foundation of Summit Makalu, its 3-inch, dual-motor compression driver and 8-inch cast-frame mid-bass driver, and 12-inch cast-frame woofer render every note with a clarity that rewards a second listen.
- Summit Pumori: A 3-Way 10-inch floor-stander carrying the name of the “Daughter of Everest,” Summit Pumori is voiced for grace as much as power. Warmth and nuance arrive in equal measure from its 1.5-inch dual-motor compression driver and 8-inch cast-frame mid-bass driver, and 10-inch cast-frame woofer, delivering a tonal balance that makes a listener lean in.
- Summit Ama: Named for Ama Dablam, the Himalayas’ “Mother’s Necklace,” Summit Ama proves a 2-Way stand-mount loudspeaker can hold its own inside the Summit Series. Its 1.5-inch dual-motor compression driver and 8-inch cast-frame woofer combine for a coherence and clarity that make every detail feel close enough to touch.
Every model in the Summit Series is voiced through JBL’s signature Sonoglass HDI (High-Definition Imaging) horn and anchored by JBL’s triple-layer HC4 composite cone, a proprietary blend of carbon fiber and pure pulp engineered for stiffness and low distortion. Each also shares JBL’s proprietary MultiCap crossover network, carbon-fiber-wrapped rhodium-plated binding posts, and engineered IsoAcoustics isolation feet, housed in heavily braced, contoured cabinets finished to the standard of fine furniture.
