InstallerNet has partnered with Bedrock Learning, a connected home training provider.
“Our dealers now have the opportunity to broaden and hone their skills through online training, while providing us with verification of their knowledge with Certificates of Completion for each discipline,” said Bill Sheehan, director of business development at InstallerNet. “We are always looking for ways to enhance and grow our network of highly skilled installers. Partnering with Bedrock Learning certainly meets these needs and helps move the market forward.”
InstallerNet’s technicians and dealers can receive online training in a variety of specialty areas including: introduction to the digital home, fundamentals of structured wiring, multi-room audio technology and distribution, home theater design and installation, home networking, residential lighting control, security and access control, and project management.
The courses cover the principles of the different subsystems within the home, and are vendor-neutral. Each course is approximately 6 to 8 hours in length and divided into 10-15 sections with section quizzes and a final test. Students are field-ready upon successful completion.
“We are excited to partner with a company that is like-minded in recognizing the need for a trained and qualified workforce of installers and technicians working in the connected home. It’s a win-win for everyone involved; the technicians gain valuable skills, the InstallerNet network expands and client satisfaction increases, and Bedrock Learning continues to lead the industry in education.”
