Colorado Springs, CO — Liberty Wire & Cable has launched a special package of inventory services that allow customers to turn their warehouses into Liberty facilities custom-stocked for each customer’s specific needs.
In its on-site consigned inventory management program, Liberty offers select customers the ability to put Liberty products in their warehouses, and be charged only when they withdraw products for installation assignments. The services are set up so that a qualified customer’s warehouse becomes, in effect, a Liberty warehouse stocked with Liberty products and computer terminals. Liberty experts train each customer’s warehouse staff so they know how to operate in the Liberty framework.
Customers using the Services participate in several labor- and capital-saving opportunities. “Liberty’s Inventory Services reduce procurement and carrying costs, maximize customers’ operational efficiency, and increase their productivity,” said Liberty president John Dace.
To qualify, organizations must meet a variety of criteria, including minimum size and minimum warehouse size, although the services are scalable for both large and small facilities. Customers carry Liberty stock on site, tailored from among Liberty’s more than 7,000 wire and cable products to the specific buying behavior of each host organization.
“The Inventory Services ensure that businesses have their specific day-to-day installation items in stock, and no longer have to allocate working capital to the inventory, since they’re only billed when the stock is extracted,” said Kirk Horlbeck, senior vice president of marketing.
