According to reports and photos from International CES, the annual consumer electronics convention, the power in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center went out sometime around 11 a.m. Pacific time and remains off at the time of this article, one hour later.
Residential Systems writer John Sciacca was inside Central Hall, covering the major TV display manufacturers when the lights went out. Only security lights remained on, and emergency announcements did not reveal any details about the cause.

As of 12:38pm PST power is actively being restored
As of 1:20pm PST power is reportedly restored and the Central Hall is has been re opened.
