Incline Village, NV--In light of the widespread wildfire that has devastated much of South Lake Tahoe, CA, philanthropist neighbor MusicGiants is leveraging the company's HD download store as a fundraising tool to aid in relief efforts.

While the blaze is still wreaking havoc on the area, thus far, the fire has burned over 3,000 acres, 180 buildings, 200 homes, and has forced about 2,000 people to evacuate. With 55 percent of the fire contained, officials hope to have it entirely extinguished by July 1, leaving residents to sort through the aftermath, a total loss for many.

As a member of the Lake Tahoe community, MusicGiants, the leading provider of HD downloads, is deeply saddened by the tragedy surrounding the community. To help, MusicGiants has launched the Angora Fire Relief Fund Media Store to generate recurring proceeds. Patrons can go to the online music store and purchase a variety of high definition music downloads and a portion of sales will go directly to the Parasol Foundation, a local non-profit organization dedicated to serving the Lake Tahoe community.

Additionally, on July 4, MusicGiants is hosting the first annual Incline Village Boat Parade. 100 percent of the boat registration fees will be donated to help the victims of the fire. Performing at the fundraiser is Shameus, a band out of South Lake Tahoe, whose lead guitarist, Scott Haygood, lost his home and possessions in the fire. Those who wish to attend can register on the MusicGiants website. For those unable to attend, donations can be made to the Angora Fire Relief Fund on the MusicGiants website.

"As natives of the Lake Tahoe community, MusicGiants is devastated by this disaster and we are determined to do everything we can to help," said Scott Bahneman, CEO of MusicGiants. "It is important that we use any and all of the resources we have, such as the online media store, to raise money and support for those affected by this great tragedy. We are hopeful that our contributions will provide some relief to the restoration of our community."
