Whole-home audio innovator adds western regional sales manager and national product trainer

Hebron, KY–NuVo Technologies has named Timothy Leahy its new western regional sales manager and Marc Raab a national product trainer.

Both are new positions. Leahy will report to vice president of sales, Rick Powers, who had previously handled the western region in addition to his other duties. Raab will report to director of education, Steve Horton, who also reports to Powers.

The hirings of Leahy and Raab exemplify NuVos consistent growth. The whole-home audio manufacturers sales grew by nearly 50 percent domestically and almost 100 percent internationally in 2007.

The addition of these two experienced professionals to our organization will help us reach and educate more people than ever before about NuVo and its products, Powers said. The talents of both Tim and Marc will benefit our company and our customers enormously as NuVo continues to forge ahead and grow despite this challenging marketplace.

Leahy possesses over 30 years of sales, marketing and management experience in the consumer electronics industry, with a strong focus on audio. He spent the last 15 years with home and car audio manufacturer Phoenix Gold International, most recently serving as the companys director of product training and sales support. He previously served as the companys director of sales and marketing support, its director of sales, marketing and product development, and its national sales manager. From 1980 to 1993, he served as a territorial independent sales rep for manufacturers representative firm Network Marketing.

Raab has served in the consumer electronics field for 12 years, starting as a salesperson for Best Buy at the age of 16. From 2003 to 2007, he served as national product trainer for Hitachi Home Electronics, conducting formal product and sales trainings on Hitachi television and camcorder products for retail stores. Previously, he served as market development manager at BDS Marketing for the Motorola wireless brand, as a retail trainer for Marketsource for the Palm handheld computing brand, and as a market manager for BDS Marketing on behalf of the Microsoft brand.
