The changes at Runco since its acquisition by Planar continued this week with the relaunch of www.Runco.com. According to the company, the site uses the latest technology to employ a gallery of Runco home theaters, product images, and information to help customers in the process of choosing their Runco display.
“The site is as innovative as it is elegant,” Runco worldwide director of marketing Pippa Edelen said. “It addresses the needs of our dealers and provides their clients a window into Runco’s sterling brand reputation, products and service.”
Beyond its design, the new site enables social media applications, with Twitter updates from @RuncoLive, as well as Runco’s new blog, which includes articles about technology trends such as LED projection and 3D in the home, movie reviews, guest blogger features from Runco dealers and industry experts, along with video tips and recommendations for demonstration material.
This “News & Blog” section, which offers RSS subscription for real-time updates, was designed to serve as a hub of information for entertainment enthusiasts, interior design professionals and architects, Runco owners and video display technology aficionados.
For visitors who are looking for help choosing their Runco display, the new site provides information about Runco, insight into the experience of owning a Runco home theater display, detailed product listings and specifications, press articles, and product reviews.
To pair customers with an Authorized Runco Dealer in their area, each page of the new website has a new zip-code based dealer locator, which is powered by Google Maps and provides driving directions, links to dealer websites and contact information.
To support its dealers, Runco also provides 24/7 access from the new www.Runco.com to a Runco Partner Portal, a dealer-only area that allows Runco to support its dealers by including product information, sales, and installation tools. The dealer portal also includes other resources such as downloads and remote and IR codes, video product demonstrations and a summary of Runco dealer programs and promotions.
