ELAC Debuts 3 New Speaker Series

ELAC has introduced three new series of loudspeakers — the Elegant BS 312.2, the Solano 2 Series, and the Vela Series — each featuring ELAC’s newly developed JET 6 tweeter. Engineered and manufactured in Kiel, Germany, the JET 6 tweeter features a new foil layout and modified front panel. Utilizing technology based on selective variance of masses in motion, the JET 6 tweeter delivers a linear amplitude response extending into the ultrasonic range. This unique characteristic ensures precision, resolution, and reduced total harmonic distortion.

Elegant BS 312.2 Loudspeaker

The Elegant BS 312.2 loudspeaker is equipped with the JET 6 tweeter and an array of innovative features. It features an extensively reworked low/midrange driver equipped with an AS-XR diaphragm, recognizable by its distinctive crystal-shaped aluminum dome. Enhanced with a larger voice coil and additional magnet ring, the driver achieves superior efficiency and thermal handling.

Completing its feature set, the Elegant BS 312.2 offers bi-wiring/bi-amping connection terminals, allowing for flexible setup configurations. Maintaining ELAC’s commitment to quality, the speaker incorporates high-quality components such as air-core coils, metal-oxide resistors, MKP film capacitors, and Van den Hul wiring.

The all-aluminum bass-reflex cabinet features a unibody design, virtually resonance-free, and eliminates the need for a separate baffle. This design minimizes sound-reflecting surfaces, enabling the sound to propagate freely in all directions, creating an immersive audio experience detached from the speaker.

Available in Black High Gloss and White High Gloss finishes, the Elegant BS 312.2 exemplifies ELAC’s commitment to delivering uncompromising audio excellence.

The BS312.2 will be available in early May through ELAC’s nationwide dealer network.

Solano 2.0 Series

ELAC has also announced the next evolution of the Solano series, now equipped with the JET 6 air motion transformer tweeter. The Solano series receives a significant upgrade with this cutting-edge tweeter technology.

Available in three cabinet styles — the BS 283.2 bookshelf speaker, the FS 287.2 floor-standing speaker, and the CC 281.2 center speaker — the Solano components offer versatility for both multi-channel and stereo applications.

The center speaker has been widened by 8 cm to enhance internal volume, resulting in improved bass response.

Introducing a new line of accessories for the Solano 2.0 Series, ELAC now offers metal grilles as an option in addition to the existing round fabric covers. These grilles, magnetically secured, cover all sensitive parts on the front, enhancing both aesthetics and protection.

The Solano Series’ midrange and bass reproduction is driven by ELAC’s proprietary AS-XR sandwich diaphragms. These diaphragms, combining paper and aluminum membranes, deliver a graduated presence range and powerful bass, achieving unmatched acoustic balance in its price and performance class.

Featuring a powerful magnet system and lightweight yet resilient diaphragms, the Solano speakers ensure superb sound even at high volume levels. The high-gloss finishes, curved baffle for maximum acoustic fidelity, and inert cabinet made from ultra-thick MDF eliminate vibrations and internal noise, further enhancing the listening experience.

Vela 2.0 Loudspeaker Series

The Vela 2.0 loudspeakers, celebrated for their fusion of nautical-inspired aesthetics and unparalleled acoustics, now boast the JET 6 tweeter.  Consisting of three floorstanding speakers (the FS 407.2, FS 408.2, and FS 409.2), two bookshelf speakers (the BS 403.2 and BS 404.2), and a center speaker (the CC 401.2), each model epitomizes ELAC’s distinctive DNA.

ELAC has introduced a new line of accessories for the Vela 2.0 Series. Complementing the existing round fabric covers, metal grilles are now available as an option, magnetically securing and safeguarding all sensitive components on the front.
