Russound Bets on Digital Marketing Veteran

Russound has hired industry and Russound veteran Joshua Cooper as its new Director of Marketing. Cooper, who works closely with Colin Clark, a product marketing manager, will focus on all aspects of brand and product marketing, including digital campaigns, advertising, and industrial design.

Cooper’s hiring comes at a time when Russound is embarking on a significant growth phase as the company works to redefine how custom whole house and high-resolution audio is installed, streamed and enjoyed in the worldwide market.

“Joshua is a recognized leader in product design and marketing, with background that covers all the bases,” explained Charlie Porritt, Russound’s CEO. “Not only is he proficient in the creation of ads and marketing materials in every relevant medium, he’s also a former Russound employee who has returned to the fold, bringing a deep familiarity with our brand and our culture. His track record in global product development is instrumental as we bring innovative new products to the domestic and international markets.”

Cooper brings a wealth of experience in product, collateral and web design to his new role at Russound. Most recently he was the creative director/partner at The OAC Group, overseeing the design side of the consulting firm specializing in business development, marketing, mobile apps, product design 3D graphics and more.

His first experience with Russound came as a design freelancer in 1996 and eventually joined full time in 1999 when he was appointed Creative Director. During his tenure he spearheaded development of all brand and product materials and led the design of some of their most iconic products. He left Russound in 2003 to become a partner in OAC Group.

“Last year, Russound experienced its greatest product rollout schedule to date, and the momentum will continue straight through 2015,” said Cooper. “And there are more exciting products yet to come. We will be focused on showing our customers how can they find success with Russound products and ensuring that our communications are relevant to our customer’s needs. It’s an exciting time to be part of Russound.”
