Shipping Update: KEF’s KHT2005.3 Series

The latest version of the manufacturer's home theater system includes a new KUBE-2 subwoofer and a high gloss black finish.

Marlboro,NJ–KEF’s new KHT2005.3 Series home theater speaker system, including the KUBE-2 Subwoofer, is in stock and available for immediate shipment.

The KHT2005.3, the latest version of what has been known as the 2000 Series, is a 5.1 home theater speaker system featuring KEFs iconic egg-shaped surround speakers that offer an improved multi-directional desktop mount providing better stability and user preference positioning. The KUBE-2 subwoofer offers powerful performance while complimenting the sound signature and quality of the satellites.

The original KHT 2005, introduced in 2000, quickly became KEF most successful product worldwide. In our 47+ years of existence, no other KEF model generated the categorical or commercial success (literally tenfold sales from original estimates) than this famous sub/sat system. The KHT 2005.3 system continues to define high end audio excellence for small speaker systems without compromise. Now in its third iteration, the even more refined KHT 2005.3 raises the bar for unparalleled sonic and visual excellence, employing the finest materials and build quality available in manufacturing today irrespective of price, said Alec Chanin, president of GP Acoustics (US). This system embodies KEFs worldwide leadership position in the very competitive, contested sub / sat category. Our continued success is assured.

This optimized system includes the impressive 4 inch Uni-Q driver array, enabling each satellite to disperse sound over a much wider are without having to consider placement of speakers or listener.

KEFs patented Uni-Q driver achieves what audio engineers have sought for decades: to project an exceptionally broad frequency range from just a single point. Uni-Q technology disperses sound over a wide area without losing quality, which the consumer can enjoy from any location within a room. KEF places its tweeter in the acoustic and mechanical center of the midrange cone, resulting in a near-perfect, single-point-source driver. This configuration ensures both drivers frequency ranges are delivered in precise focus, providing the widest achievable dispersion.

The KHT2005.3 satellite and center speakers are a step above the recently released KHT1005.2 system in terms of physical size and power capabilities. Available in a high-gloss black finish, it is well-suited to the trend of high-gloss TVs. By also including mounting brackets, KEF gives consumers the option to mount the speakers to a wall or shelf.

To complete the 5.1 home theater experience, KEF provides the system with an inspired performance subwoofer, the new KUBE-2. With a compact and lightweight design, the new robust KUBE-2 is a direct replacement for the PSW2150 subwoofer. The KUBE-2 is a powerful yet space-efficient subwoofer featuring an on board 200w Class D amplifier, a side-firing 10-inch long-throw bass driver and a corresponding Auxiliary Bass Radiator (ABR) of the same size. Standing at 12.7-inches high x 13.1-inches wide x 13.1-inches deep and sporting a high-gloss black surface, the KUBE-2 also allows the listener to personalize the output, with frequency and level controls offered as well as a bass boost adjustment. The overall design and modern technology included in this product makes the KUBE-2 a better all round performer and more resilient than its predecessor.

The complete KHT2005.3 Speaker System includes four satellite speakers (one pair for front and one pair for rear), one center channel speaker and the KUBE-2 Subwoofer to create a stunning 5.1 home theater experience. The complete system is available now for a listed MSRP of $1,299.99. The KUBE-2 subwoofer is also available separately for MSRP of $699.99.
