SnapAV is now shipping Wirepath Surveillance DVRs to stream live video using Control4.

Upgraded software makes possible streaming motion jpeg video to display all connected cameras within the Control4 environment including iOS apps. Other enhanced functionality includes IP Control of DVR functions, including playback, and motion detection setup from Internet Explorer.

According to SnapAV senior vice president Adam Levy, the software eliminates the need for costly and often time-consuming addition of encoders or IP cameras for surveillance integration into Control4.

“For Control4 dealers, this is huge,” said Levy. “It helps them get into surveillance, to sell surveillance more often and to sell surveillance more profitably.”

SnapAV’s Wirepath surveillance line consists of a wide assortment of dome and bullet styles cameras and DVRs with free supporting iPhone and Adroid Apps.

In addition to being included in all DVRs currently shipping, dealers can access the new software and update older DVRs with this enhanced functionality. The download is available from SnapAV’s website.
