Steinway Lyngdorf‘s Model P200 surround sound processor will offer support of DTS:X, the object-based successor to DTS-HD Master audio. This means the Model P200 processor will support all the major contenders in the immersive surround sound market, including Dolby Atmos and AURO-3D.
“At Steinway Lyngdorf, we are very excited to support DTS:X,” said Thomas Birkelund, Steinway Lyngdorf CEO. “The new solution from DTS, Inc. delivers enhanced flexibility and interactivity for lovers of pure, fully immersive audio. Combined with our fully digital systems and RoomPerfect™ room correction system, we will deliver an experience like you have never heard before.”
With immersive surround sound installation set to become a defining market trend in coming years, Steinway Lyngdorf’s Model P200 does not force users to pick sides. It will work with any format in a remarkably versatile approach that allows for unlimited creativity in installations.
Additionally, Lyngdorf Audio unveiled its highly-anticipated SDA-2400 stereo power amplifier at CES last week.
The versatile SDA-2400 features both analog and digital inputs and optional rack mounts, making it the perfect match for high-end surround sound processors and pre-amplifiers. The SDA-2400 is not a regular class D power amplifier.
