SVS has hired Ken Kadis as director of U.S. sales. Kadis was a key senior executive with Mitsubishi Electric for more than 26 years and will be responsible for maintaining accounts and driving U.S. domestic growth among power retailers.
"I'm so happy SVS is in a position to add a senior executive of Ken's caliber to the team," said Gary Yacoubian, president of SVS. "Our U.S. retail growth has been phenomenal and the rapid expansion made this move necessary, but with his relationships and demonstrated success, Ken is the perfect person to represent our company in the U.S., and I'm thrilled at what lies ahead."
Kadis previously served as director of national sales for Mitsubishi Electrical Visual Solutions America Inc., where he created the Professional Audio Video Division's first end-user sales force. He was fully accountable for planning and executing prospecting strategies, identifying and capturing key accounts and establishing a competitive market position, all of which will serve him well at SVS.
"The path SVS has taken to market and the growth they've exhibited in the high performance audio category over the last few years has been nothing short of remarkable," Kadis said. "The more I dug into the business, the more I realized how successful the model is and the more excited I got to be part of the team."
SVS director of global sales, Walter Schofield, will continue representing SVS internationally and in the United States specialty retail segment, working in tandem with Kadis.
