Tannoy Unites Operations, Debuts Line

Coatbridge, Scotland--Scottish-based loudspeaker manufacturer Tannoy has merged its marketing and PR department activities in the U.K. and North America to ensure coherent presentation of technologies, brand and product messaging.

According to a company statement, “This move will enhance its existing first-rate relationships with its customers worldwide.”

Tannoy also has debuted its new Fusion range offering a choice of loudspeakers for home cinema or hi-fi applications. Fusion consists of two bookshelf models, two floor-standers, a center-channel and a rear effects loudspeaker.

All of the models are offered in either an apple wood or dark oak vinyl veneer. Wood material for the cabinet construction, including a MDF front baffle, provide cabinet rigidity.

The high-performance treble unit in each of the models utilizes a one-inch Nitro-urethane layer-damped woven polyester dome and neodymium magnet assembly. The system provides frequency response up to 20kHz.

Fusion 2, 3 and 4 are equipped with bi-wire terminals allowing additional system optimization.
