Upgrades to Meridian Version of The CEDIA Designer

New features from Meridian Audio’s Design and Specification Service.

Following a special collaboration with The CEDIA Designer (TCD) software in 2018, Meridian Audio’s free Design and Specification Service (D&SS), features a new host of upgrades to give Meridian dealers even more abilities from the cinema design tool.

All new TCD features are now live on the Meridian version of TCD through its Design and Specification Service, which include the following additions:

  • Spanish language, EN English, and US English PDF documentation
  • Luxury living room designs with large format micro LED panels
  • Custom front wide-channel selection for high channel count designs
  • Front L/C/R soundbar support
  • Bass frequency seating guides
  • Project progress

The new TCD developments follow several others recently announced, including immersive virtual reality render capabilities and the introduction of Samsung’s The Wall, a MicroLED 146-inch display. Both features are available to TCD and D&SS users at the Cinema Room Pro tier.

To begin the process, integrators contact Meridian for their personal login details, which will provide complimentary access to the exclusive Meridian TCD portal.

Each CEDIA-approved Design and Specification Service pack features precise room layout and speaker positioning diagrams, detailed wiring diagrams, and comprehensive product information. In addition, it will show how Meridian components can interface with existing audio and video distribution systems as well as third party control systems.

Integrators also have the option of using Meridian’s complimentary Design and Specification Service by providing a plan of the room, house, or room dimensions, and emailing it to [email protected]. Meridian will provide co-branded drawings of the proposed system layout and an associated wiring diagram as pdf files at no cost.
