Capitol is waving the banner for growing business and profitability through a migration into the light commercial marketplace. The distributor is also raffling off a Toshiba Thrive tablet to one lucky attendee of its CEDIA classes.

To qualify for the drawing, attendees at any of Capitol’s four CEDIA courses need only complete and submit the evaluation form. A winner will be announced on the morning of Saturday, September 10.

“Capitol’s CEDIA drawing is our way of rewarding industry professionals who invest valuable time in joining us to learn how best to grow their businesses at a time when others are happy to simply stay afloat,” said Jeff Kussard, Capitol’s director of strategic development. “We believe the best way to stay ahead of the pack is to remain fully armed with the latest news and information on the technologies that are changing the way we do business. That’s why every one of our CEDIA courses is designed to enlighten and stimulate professionals who are ready to expand into light commercial while remaining aggressive about doing business in the residential channel.”

Taught by industry veteran and certified CEDIA instructor Mike Marko, Capitol’s all four of Capitol’s CEDIA courses carry a CEU credit value of 0.75. Each class is designed to help residential specialists make a smooth and profitable transition into light commercial. Included will be courses on IP Network Cameras and Surveillance (Sept. 9, 10 AM – 11:30 AM, CEU Value: 0.75), Digital Signage and Video Conferencing (Sept. 9, 12 PM – 1:30 PM, CEU Value: 0.75), Commercial Audio and 70 Volt Systems (Sept. 9, 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM, CEU Value: 0.75), and Phone Systems – Digital and IP Based (Sept. 9, 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM, CEU Value: 0.75).

The Toshiba Thrive tablet delivers a powerful way to browse the Web, enjoy e-books and HD videos, play games, and listen to music. Complete, convenient and customizable, Thrive features a 10.1-inch High-resolution Multi-Touch LED Backlit display, a customizable feature set, and speedy performance so users can multitask their way through their digital life (and favorite entertainment) with ease.
