Gaithersburg, MD–Gary Yacoubian, a 16-year veteran of MyerEmco AudioVideo, was named president and chief operating officer of the organization this week. Jon Myer will retain his title as CEO.
MyerEmco AudioVideo is a nine-store specialty audio/video chain and custom installation designer/installer located in the greater Washington, DC market. The company is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2005 with the opening of its 10th location in Bowie, Maryland.
Myer stated, “Gary’s new position simply makes official the reality of his current role. His impact has been obvious, and I don’t think there is anyone more dedicated to the success and future of MyerEmco AudioVideo.”
Gary Yacoubian said, “I am thrilled and honored to be entrusted with the position of President of MyerEmco AudioVideo. Any stakeholders familiar with our organization understand this to be a logical development and not indicative of any change in the philosophy or temperament of the company. MyerEmco’s face to its employees, vendors and customers will remain the same.”
