ZON to Offer DIY Kit

Oxmoor has reached an agreement with Crutchfield, the catalog and online electronics retailer, to offer a DIY ZON audio system.

Birmingham, AL–Oxmoor has entered into an agreement with Crutchfield Corporation, the catalog and online electronics retailer, to offer a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) version of the ZON whole-house digital audio system.

The plan makes Crutchfield the first retailer to offer a whole-house audio “kit” for the do-it-yourself market.

“We evaluated a number of high-end distributed audio systems and found ZON’s architecture ideally suited for DIY installation,” said Crutchfield senior vice president of business development, Dan Hodgson. “In addition, its ease of use, attractive design and all digital signal path made ZON the best choice for our customers. With the home theater market booming, the next natural step for us was to offer a high quality whole house audio system.”

Crutchfield will initially make ZON audio available through its website catalog, www.crutchfield.com.

“For Oxmoor, this DIY arrangement with Crutchfield opens a new sales channel that nicely complements our custom installation dealer network,” said Oxmoor chairman and CEO, Lynn McCroskey. “We are proud to be associated with one of the worlds premier electronics retailers. Crutchfields dedication to satisfying customers mirrors our own and makes this an ideal collaboration.”
