Atlantic Technology Debuts WA-60 Wireless Audio System Atlantic Technology has introduced a wireless alternative to the RCA audio cable. By RS Staff Published: June 17, 2016 ⋅ Updated: April 15, 2019 Atlantic Technology has introduced a wireless alternative to the RCA audio cable. The Atlantic Technology WA-60 Wireless Audio System eliminates the need for long runs of audio cables. With low-frequency response down to 10 Hz, it is ideal for subwoofers. It can also be used to connect receivers, computers, or any line-level audio device across a room or from one end of the house to the other, with a range of up to 70 feet, or 150 feet line-of-sight. The Atlantic Technology WA-60 replaces the WA-50, with improved low frequency response for subwoofer applications, better range, more channels, and a lower price. The Atlantic Technology WA-60 is a simple-to-use, inconspicuous transmitter-receiver system with full-range CD-quality sound. There is no interference or time delay, and it provides plug-and-play functionality—no software needed. Each receiver/transmitter pair can use one of four separate carrier frequencies to allow up to four WA-60 systems to operate in the same space without signal overlap. Each WA-60 system broadcasts a full-range, 10 to 20,000 Hz stereo audio signal anywhere across multiple rooms, wirelessly, and while maintaining 93 dB signal-to-noise ratio. Additional applications include sharing computer-based audio with an AV receiver or sharing a main system’s sources with secondary rooms. The Atlantic Technology WA-60 Wireless Audio System is now available for around $200 for a receiver/transmitter pair, and extra receivers are about $90 each.
