KEF Debuts Outdoor Audio Collection

KEF has introduced the KEF Outdoor Collection: an all-new category that extends KEF’s sound beyond the home and into the natural world. Each piece features KEF’s Uni-Q technology, robust weatherproof construction, and a minimalist aesthetic.

The collection comprises:

SR4Q and SR6Q Landscape Satellites: Precision-engineered for flexible installation, delivering consistent, immersive sound in all outdoor environments in a compact, discreet form.
BH6Q and BH8Q Bollard Speakers: Deliver an immersive outdoor listening experience, bringing full-range sound to open spaces with a refined, architectural presence.
BL8b and BL12b Bollard Subwoofers: Experience deep bass to enhance the overall soundscape
BQ9 and BQ11 Three-way Bollard Speakers: Enjoy clarity of every note, all delivered by a single tower uniting the bollard speakers and an integrated subwoofer in a three-way configuration separating high mid, low frequency ranges.

For the first time ever, KEF’s signature Uni-Q driver array is available in an outdoor speaker. Each unit features a bespoke, weatherproofed Uni-Q array, designed and optimized specifically for outdoor environments. By centring the tweeter within the midrange and bass cone, Uni-Q creates a single point source of sound, delivering a seamless, expansive soundstage that envelops every listener equally.

Every speaker in the Outdoor Collection is housed in a robust, precision-engineered enclosure designed for lasting performance in any weather condition. Rated to IP66 or IPX5 standards, UV-resistant, and weather-sealed, each unit surpasses 500 hours of salt spray testing and operates from –25 degrees C to +70 degrees C. Each speaker is completed by a refined aluminum grille.

Flexible Mounting

KEF’s Outdoor Collection has been designed with maximum flexibility at its core, offering a breadth of mounting options that allow each product to be positioned exactly where it is needed.

Landscape satellites, subwoofers, and bollard speakers can be secured using ground stakes, with subwoofers and three-way bollard speakers offering the option to partially bury elements for a more discreet installation. Optional pendant mount kits allow landscape satellites to be installed overhead for wider coverage in larger spaces, while bollard speakers can be fixed to patios, decks, and hard surfaces via hardscape mounts.

An optional wood deck mount kit allows speakers to be installed beneath decking, making use of otherwise untapped space, while mounting columns elevate the audio experience across broad landscapes.

Products can be mixed, matched, and expanded to complement spaces from cosy courtyards to sprawling multi-zone estates. For convenience, KEF offers three curated system packages, each pairing outdoor speakers, bollard subwoofers, and KASA network DSP amplifiers.

KASA Network DSP Amplifiers

Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, the KASA amplifiers are engineered for pure, authentic sound. At their core is class D amplification enhanced by Advanced GaN Technology, delivering efficiency and minimizing distortion even at high output levels. By combining high‑performance DACs and ADCs converters with sophisticated DSP, they maintain signal integrity and preserve clarity and detail from input to output.

Refined by Music Integrity Engine (MIE), KEF’s proprietary suite of in-house coded DSP algorithms ensures every component works in harmony, maintaining tonal balance and clarity across all listening levels. MIE dynamically optimizes the audio signal to unlock deep, controlled bass extension from KEF speakers while preserving detail and transparency across music and movies.

Available in 2-, 4-, or 8-channel configurations with multiple power options, channels may be bridged into a 4- or 8-ohm speaker load. To ensure seamless integration, multiple input and output options are provided, including optical, coaxial, and RCA, making them compatible with a wide range of sources and systems.
