Marantz has introduced two new additions to its hi-fi portfolio: the MODEL 70 integrated amplifier and CD 70 CD player. At launch, only the CD 70 is available in North America.
MODEL 70
At the heart of MODEL 70 lies everything listeners have come to expect from Marantz: a warm, detailed and deeply musical sound signature. The amplifier employs an upgraded current-feedback Class A/B amplification topology, delivering 50 watts per channel, and is supported by an enhanced power supply and larger toroidal transformer.
A high-performance DAC ensures exceptional digital playback quality, while Marantz’s proprietary HDAM circuitry preserves the speed, accuracy, and musical character. For vinyl enthusiasts, a high-quality MM phono stage allows direct turntable connection, bringing the richness and emotional engagement of analog playback to life.
The addition of HDMI ARC elevates television audio performance while retaining the simplicity of TV remote volume control. Meanwhile, Bluetooth connectivity has also been significantly expanded, supporting both receive and transmit functionality with aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, AAC, and SBC codecs. Users can stream music in high quality from compatible mobile devices or enjoy personal music or even TV listening through wireless headphones.
A comprehensive range of analog and digital inputs, together with both preamplifier and subwoofer outputs, ensures flexibility for a broad range of listening environments and system configurations.
CD 70
For listeners who continue to value physical media and high-resolution digital collections, CD 70 continues Marantz’s long-standing commitment to exceptional disc playback. Engineered around the same high-performance DAC as found in the MODEL 70 plus proprietary HDAM circuitry, CD 70 delivers detailed, expressive, and emotionally engaging reproduction of compact discs. The front-panel USB-A input adds significant versatility, supporting playback of high-resolution audio formats including FLAC HD, ALAC, AIFF, and DSD, making CD 70 an ideal partner for extensive digital music libraries.
An upgraded power supply, double-layered chassis base, rigid isolation feet, and strategically deployed copper hardware all contribute to improved stability and reduced interference.
For personal listening, a fully discrete headphone amplifier featuring HDAM technology, adjustable gain control, and automatic headphone detection provides an engaging and refined listening experience without requiring additional equipment.
In keeping with Marantz’s ongoing sustainability initiatives, MODEL 70 and CD 70 are packaged using environmentally conscious materials designed to reduce plastic consumption while maintaining a premium ownership experience. Responsibly sourced FSC-certified carton materials, paper-based protective elements, and thoughtfully designed packaging solutions help minimize environmental impact without compromising product presentation.
