PoEWit Releases New Wi-Fi 6E Tri-Band Access Point

Supports 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands.

PoEWit Technologies has announced the release of its WAP-2E, a Wi-Fi 6E tri-band access point that supports 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz. The WAP-2E is built for the latest Wi-Fi standard – Wi-Fi 6E – and its uncongested 6 GHz band enables fast connections in even the most challenging wireless environments. The WAP-2E is powered by PoE+ and supports six spatial streams (2×2:2 in 2.4 GHz, 2×2:2 in 5 GHz, and 2×2:2 in 6 GHz), to deliver reliable and secure performance to many wireless devices simultaneously.

“The 6 GHz band is perfect for establishing fast connections in high-interference metropolitan areas where the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands are overly-congested,” says Dusan Jankov, co-CEO of PoEWit. “The uncongested 6 GHz band is also ideal for seamless Wi-Fi calling.”

The WAP-2E is the fourth access point in PoEWit’s enterprise networking line, and like all other PoEWit APs, it can be configured without legacy baggage via the free PoEWit app, available for iOS and Android. The WAP-2E is also cloud-intelligent, and when coupled with one of PoEWit’s smart, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPSs), it can disable non-critical radios during a utility power outage, thereby preserving the backup battery for the most critical lights and devices on the network.
