HiFiMAN, a designer/manufacturer of high performance headphones and portable audio products, has introduced an ultra-high quality in-ear monitor designed to set a new standard of sound quality for audiophiles on the go.
The RE-600 “Songbird” (MSRP $399) is now shipping.
The company’s new in-ear model was part of a multi-year project for HifiMAN intended to offer a higher level of performance and comfort for the category. Advanced ergonomic design aids both ease-of-use and comfort while an all-new, custom-designed driver utilizes a special Titanium coating for remarkable detail and extended frequency response. The RE-600 driver is Patent-Pending.
The addition of Neodymium magnets and premium cabling of Copper-Silver on RE-600 helps deliver all the music as it was originally intended.
According to HiFiMAN founder and president, Dr. Fang Bian, “Though HiFiMAN is best known for our full-size, planar-magnetic headphones, because there are so many applications today for portable audio, we wanted to offer an audiophile-grade in-ear model that would achieve the same level of performance and success.”
“Our team has worked very hard on RE-400 and RE-600 and I believe discriminating music lovers will really appreciate these new compact models which offer both excellent sound and good value. We will also add a third in-ear model this fall at a very aggressive price point,” said Dr. Bian.
HiFiMAN will be exhibiting at CE Week June 24-28 in the iLounge at The Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City. In addition to the new RE-600 and RE-400 in-ear models, on display and demonstration will the HM-901 portable high-res player.
