Monitor Audio has released a new range of custom install speaker back boxes to be used with the Creator Series and other Monitor Audio custom install ranges.
The back boxes are fully sealed and provide an ideal air load for the speaker drivers, optimizing mid-range and bass performance while maintaining sonic consistency regardless of interior wall construction. The back boxes guarantee excellent audio quality and versatility, and offer superior sound isolation between rooms and floors.
CSM-BOX
The CSM-BOX ($140 each, available mid-February) is a Back Box made of MDF, which allows you to install speakers from Monitor Audio’s Creator Series, AWC Series, and other CI ranges into the ceiling. Note: The current CMBOX has been discontinued and will be replaced by the CSM-BOX. The CMBOX is still available while quantities last.
The CSM-BOX comes with Small and Medium Ring (Fitted) adapters, which can also be removed.
Compatible speakers include C1S, C2S, C1M, C2M, C2M-T2X, C2M-CP, C3M, CSS230, C165, AWC265, and AWC265-T2.
CML-BOX
The CML-BOX ($200 each, available mid-February) is a Back Box made of MDF, which allows you to install speakers from Monitor Audio’s Creator Series, AWC Series, and other CI ranges into the ceiling.
The CML-BOX comes with Medium and Large Ring (Fitted) adapters, which can also be removed.
Compatible speakers include C3M, C1L, C2L, C2L-T2X, C2L-CP, C3L, C3L-CP, C3L-A, CSS230, C180, AWC265, AWC265-T2, AWC280, and AWC280-T2.
WM-BOX
The WM-BOX ($180 each, available mid-May) is a Back Box made of MDF, which allows you to install speakers from Monitor Audio’s Creator Series into the wall.
Compatible speakers include W1M, W1M-E, and W2M.
