iRule has announced that iRule version 2.3 for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch is now available for download.
The new software is available for free from the Apple App Store.
New features include an iTunes Module that controls iTunes on a Mac or PC, a hidden navigation bar, screen dimming, and a new iPad panel transition.
With iRule, an iPad, and the iTunes Module, users don’t have to launch a different app to see playlists, browse, or play music from iTunes. All that’s needed is an AppleTV or two, an AirportExpress, or some other AirPlay device, and access all your music, movies, TV shows, podcasts and more – right from iRule.
New features in iRule version 2.3 include screen dimming; a macro pause dialog; improved macro handling; and improved command execution. Designers can also now hide the Nav Bar on the remote, eliminating the page title, “panels”, and “back” buttons while freeing up additional screen real estate.
In addition, iRule is currently working on iRule for Android.
