Clare Controls Launches ClareVision Cameras and NVRs

Three new camera series starting below $100 give SnapAV Pros a competitive edge when bidding for jobs.

Clare Controls has launched ClareVision, a new line of high-value surveillance cameras and NVRs that support standalone deployment or integration with ClareOne systems. The line’s two app-controlled, ETL-listed series of cameras are both NDAA and Onvif compliant. Additionally, these products allow SnapAV pros to compete in the value-priced security segment.

“Having an affordable performance-packed surveillance lineup that delivers excellent value for SnapAV pros furthers our mission to empower them to win in their competitive marketplace,” says Clint Choate, SnapAV senior director, Security Market. “Surveillance is top of mind in almost every type of installation our pros work on, and the ClareVision lineup provides choice and value that gives SnapAV pros a leg up when bidding for jobs.”

Edge-based storage (SD cards) and features allow SnapAV pros to provide surveillance solutions for any size project without requiring NVRs or monthly cloud fees, while larger projects can use the new ClareVision NVRs. Using the cameras is simple, with the ClareVision mobile app delivering an experience that includes push notifications and fast access to view live or recorded content.

The Value Series contains the most competitively priced solutions in the ClareVision line, with two models offering fixed focal length lenses, digital WDR (wide dynamic range) to improve low-light recording, two streams, and standard motion detection. The 2 MP model includes a 16 GB SD card, while the 4 MP includes a 32 GB SD card. Each model is available in black and white in either bullet or turret style, for a total of eight SKUs, and all models are capable of 4K video recording.

Stepping up from the Value Series is the Performance Fixed Series, which includes 4 MP and 8 MP models with fixed focal length lenses, upgraded True WDR, and Sony Starvis chip sets to maximize low-light and nighttime performance. Both models offer three streams, basic motion detection, advanced motion detection, and human detection to improve event capture. The 4 MP model comes with an included 32 GB SD card to simplify standalone installation. Performance Fixed Series cameras are available in black or white in bullet, dome, or turret style, totaling 12 SKUs.

The Performance VF Series adds a 4 MP model with Motorized Varifocal capability for zooming, in addition to True WDR and excellent low-light performance with the Sony Starvis chip set. Like the Performance Fixed Series, it offers three streams, basic motion detection, advanced motion detection, and human detection. The series offers black or white colors in bullet, dome, or turret style, for a total of six SKUs.

Clare Controls ClareVision NVR

Each camera can operate as a standalone security solution using the onboard SD card slots or be paired with one of Clare’s new ClareVision NVRs. The new NVR line includes a 4-channel, 1 TB model with four PoE ports, an 8-channel, 2 TB model with eight PoE ports, and a 16-channel, 4 TB model with 16 PoE ports. The inclusion of virtual channels limits the need for extra NVRs, with the 8-channel model capable of recording from up to 16 cameras, and the 16-channel model supporting up to 32 cameras.

All ClareVision products offer integration with ClareOne and Control4 systems, compatibility with Luma cameras and NVRs, and supports Onvif and Hikvision protocols for add-ons or takeovers. Clare offers a full line of supporting accessories including SD cards, camera mounting brackets, and junction boxes.

ClareVision is an exclusive SnapAV security line available only to SnapAV Pros.
