Residential lighting jobs are becoming increasingly unpredictable. Contractors often arrive on site without full visibility into fixture types, load requirements, or wattage needs. With more homes incorporating integrated LED fixtures, tape light, track systems, and outdoor lighting, selecting the right dimmer has become more complex. This leads to troubleshooting, lost time, and time-consuming return shopping trips to the supply house when the right product isn’t on hand.
To address this challenge, Lutron Electronics has introduced the Lutron LED+ dimmer – Pro Max line, a range of quality-of-life-enhancing dimmers designed with maximum power ratings, broader application coverage, and load versatility to eliminate guesswork in the field and help installers handle these on-the-job surprises with confidence and efficiency.

Anchored by the new Diva dimmer – LED+ Pro Max model and Diva dimmer – LED+ Pro model, the Lutron LED+ dimmers – Pro Max line also includes controls pros know and trust: Maestro dimmer – LED+ Pro Max model and Sunnata dimmer – LED+ Pro Max model. Available in updated packaging designed to make them easier for pros to find on-shelf and online, the lineup simplifies product selection, helping installers choose the right dimmer faster in the field.
At the center of the lineup is the new Lutron Diva dimmer – LED+ Pro Max model, engineered to deliver maximum power and versatility for today’s increasingly complex lighting installations. This LED+ Pro Max model includes a soft-glow locator light to complement the existing paddle switches found in most homes. It supports the most common residential lighting fixture control requirements, including ELV tape lighting in cabinets, coves, and stairs; MLV track lighting fixtures; outdoor lighting controlled from indoors; general LED fixtures such as recessed downlights; and decorative incandescent and halogen bulbs often used in pendants and sconces. With Lutron’s highest wattage capacity, it is well-suited for larger or more complex lighting loads.

A key feature is phase-selectable dimming, which allows electricians to switch between forward and reverse phase during installation. This added control helps resolve common LED compatibility and performance issues such as flickering or audible noise, delivering smoother, more consistent results across varying fixtures. The Diva dimmer – LED+ Pro model complements the Diva dimmer – LED+ Pro Max model, offering the same load versatility for everyday LED installations but with lower wattage ratings — ideal for jobs where maximum power is not required but flexibility still matters.
The Lutron LED+ dimmers – Pro Max line also includes two familiar Lutron controls. The Maestro dimmer – LED+ Pro Max model offers multi-location dimming from three or more locations using a Lutron companion dimmer, while the Sunnata dimmer – LED+ Pro Max model combines a sleek touch light bar with a modern aesthetic, offering a premium look for projects where both performance and appearance matter.

Together, the lineup gives contractors more ways to standardize around dimmers that cover a wider range of residential lighting applications — reducing guesswork in the field and helping keep jobs moving efficiently.
Lutron’s LED+ dimmers – Pro Max line and Pro model will be available online at HomeDepot.com and through electrical distributors starting in August and arriving in stores in September.
