URC Manages AquaLink Pool and Spa Systems with Two-Way Total Control Module

The times your customers spend lounging poolside longing for the convenience to control their pool's temperature and lighting has been resolved by URC's introduction of a two-way control module for Zodiac's AquaLink intelligent pool and spa control system.

The times your customers spend lounging poolside longing for the convenience to control their pool’s temperature and lighting has been resolved by URC’s new two-way control module for Zodiac’s AquaLink intelligent pool and spa control system.

URC Total Control now manages Zodiac’s AquaLink pool and spa system.

Homeowners can now wirelessly monitor and adjust temperature, filtration cycles, spa lighting, audio, and more from a Total Control whole-house automation system.

“Our new two-way automation solution for AquaLink is great news for integrators and pool owners alike,” said URC’s director of marketing, Cat Toomey. “Folks can set the temperature of their pool or spa, set lighting scenes (for example all on, all off, party mode, etc.), turn on the waterfall, select and adjust audio sources—and much more—with just one touch on a URC remote, keypad, panel, or mobile device.”

The new AquaLink two-way module is also compatible with ccGEN2 keypads, the RM-2 remote, and ccGEN2-iOS app. The ccGEN2 products are sold through distributors; the Total Control line is sold via direct URC dealers only.

“Integrators will find customization surprisingly easy and efficient, thanks to our full implementation of AquaLink’s features,” Toomey said. “Our system can access the exact customized labeling that has been set up by the pool professional—maintaining consistency and end-user familiarity between the OEM and URC interfaces—so that labels are all the same automatically.”

AquaLink was created and is sold by Zodiac Pool Systems, the parent company of brands such as Zodiac, Polaris, Jandy Pro Series, Nature2, and Cover-Pools.

URC has added approximately 50 new, fully tested and certified integration modules over the past year for Total Control. Adding to these drivers, URC recently announced a new Software Development Kit (SDK) for qualified URC dealers to develop their own two-way modules for Total Control. This SDK is delivered along with comprehensive how-to videos and a programming manual.
