TIDAL Certifies StreamUnlimited’s StreamSDK Technology

TIDAL Approves StreamSDK to Use Its Service in Consumer Products December 16, 2015
Why This Matters

Companies can now easily integrate TIDAL into consumer electronics.

StreamUnlimited, a provider of software solutions and modules for connected audio products, announces TIDAL has certified StreamSDK, a streaming and multi-room audio integration solution from StreamUnlimited, as an approved product module for companies who incorporate the service into its products.

TIDAL’s certification of the StreamSDK platform will allow audio manufacturers to bring products with the TIDAL streaming feature to market much easier and faster. StreamUnlimited audio solutions are already compatible with many common devices, including UPnP/DLNA, Google Cast, USB, wireless and Ethernet, Android, Apple iOS and more. TIDAL’s certification of the StreamSDK will provide a fast-track to companies integrating the service into consumer electronics products. Available in 46 countries with a library of over 40 million songs and 90,000 high quality videos, TIDAL is a new music and entertainment platform piloted by Jay Z that allows users to experience and discover high-resolution music from artists around the world. The streaming service offers top-notch sound quality and expertly curated content with unique offline experiences for members included in the monthly subscription.

“We are excited to have TIDAL included in our StreamSDK platform,” said Frits Wittgrefe, chief executive officer for StreamUnlimited. “The TIDAL team is great to work with and its streaming service is a must-have for most of our customers. We’re designing TIDAL into many of our clients’ brands, many of which will be on display at both CES in Las Vegas this January and ISE in Amsterdam this February.”

“We look forward to having TIDAL included on StreamUnlimited’s StreamSDK,” said Pål Bråtelund, strategic partnership manager at TIDAL. “It is a rich, reliable, high-quality platform that provides access for brands to easily integrate our services into their devices.”
