Grandview Renames Acoustic Screen Fabrics Grandview has changed the name of its Imaging Science Foundation certified and acoustically transparent projection screen fabric. By RS Staff Published: May 26, 2016 ⋅ Updated: April 15, 2019 Grandview has changed the name of its Imaging Science Foundation certified and acoustically transparent projection screen fabric. Grandview had been following a naming convention whereby its screen surfaces were known by the prefix ‘AT’ for ‘acoustically transparent’. As woven fabrics for Acoustic Transparent designs become more important; it became apparent to Grandview that it needed to have a new prefix to recognize the acoustically transparent ‘woven’ fabrics from its ‘perforated’ fabrics. The new name for Grandview’s AT4 screen surface is AW6. Acoustic Woven Screen #6. Grandview Screen offers its Reference Screen Series, with Imaging Science Foundation Certified fabrics and Acoustically transparent woven surfaces for home theater environments.
