Fort Wayne, IN — The EDGE Distributors Group, which consists of 12 independently owned regional distributors catering primarily to custom install and residential systems integrators, has appointed Ron Harker as executive director.
“I am excited about this opportunity with EDGE, and look forward to bringing programs to the group that build value for the members and manufacturers alike,” Harker said. ”While current economic conditions have forced many companies to cut back and pull sales people off the streets, EDGE is maintaining — and in many instances, bolstering — its presence and programs.”
Harker is veteran of the consumer electronics industry, having started his career in 1987 with Highland Appliance before moving on to work for retailers Sound Pro and Classic Stereo.
In 1993, Harker made the move to CTD Marketing, an EDGE-member distribution company with locations in Indiana and Kentucky. During his more than 16-year span with CTD, he worked his way through the ranks to sales manager, VP/partner and ultimately in 2006, to president. Harker most recently served on The EDGE Group’s board of directors, as well as on rep councils for LG and Denon.

The EDGE Distributors Group also has appointed LK Stockroom in the Florida territory.
Located in Fort Lauderdale, LK Stockroom’s 2,275-square-foot facility is equally apportioned between offices and warehouse. The company (954.792.3572) is comprised of seven employees (three inside sales and four outside sales).
