Lenbrook International, the Canada-based developers of the BluOS music operating system, has created a new software for the BluOS ecosystem, an update that includes many new features and enhancements to improve streaming and wireless music listening in the home. The new BluOS software and apps, version 2.14, for smartphone and tablet are available today to BluOS customers with a simple update on their control device and BluOS-enabled system.

“We want BluOS to continue to serve as a destination for music lovers, increasingly becoming the center of their music experience in the home,” said Andrew Haines, BluOS product manager. “The possibilities for BluOS to bring the music experience to life and make it more engaging for users are quite literally only limited by imagination.”

Today’s new software update enhances BluOS mobile apps and introduces a host of new system features for customers, retailers, and custom integrators to enjoy, including Dolby Digital Surround for Bluesound PULSE SOUNDBAR. Using the new BluOS app, the PULSE SOUNDBAR and SUB also can be wirelessly connected with a pair of PULSE FLEXs to act as a dedicated rear wireless surround speakers for an immersive high-resolution listening experience.

For the first time, Deezer HiFi subscribers will be able to enjoy millions of songs in lossless CD-quality at 16-bit FLAC and stream it to any BluOS-enabled wireless speaker, stereo component or home theater for a high-fidelity listening experience.

A new optimized music engine allows for a more responsive experience and easier browsing with quick on-demand access to local music collections, custom playlists, favorites, and music streaming services.
