Liberty Wire & Cable Expands in Great Lakes Region

New Chicago-Area warehouse to be the first of several additions prompted by increasing customer demand.

Colorado Springs, CO–Liberty Wire & Cable, worldwide supplier of wire and cable products for the audio/video trade, including custom installers and systems integrators, has opened a new warehouse facility in the Chicago area to service commercial and residential customers in the Great Lakes region.

Located in Carol Stream, Illinois, a suburb west of Chicago, the new warehouse has more than 1,000 pallet spaces. The expansion allows Liberty to more quickly fulfill orders from its catalog of 6,000-plus wire and cable products and deliver them at reduced shipping costs to customers in the Great Lakes region.

With the new facility operational, Libertys management team is focusing on several additional warehouse facilities it plans to open by the end of 2007. The expansion will help Liberty meet customer demand, which has increased by over 30 percent in each of the past four years, and position itself for further growth.

Libertys commitment to our customers made the decision to invest in the Chicago facility an easy one, said Liberty president Andy Bergdoll. Our ability to provide faster product delivery will give our customers a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Libertys new warehouse also provides will-call service to customers in the immediate area, further enhancing The Liberty Advantage that empowers Liberty customers to operate more efficiently and more competitively.
